If Corvette fans have been feeling a bit under the weather lately, a more powerful version of the Z06 could be something that might cheer them up.
Callaway are planning on launch their new tuning program for the Z06 Vette at the National Corvette Museum C7 Bash in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the home for all things ‘Corvette’.
The Corvette Museum was established as a non-for-profit foundation, keen on celebrating the invention of America’s Sports Car and educating people about it. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that, plus the Corvette is no longer just a “sports car”, so there’s that.
Still, it’s a great place to show the people what your version of the C7 Corvette looks like. Speaking of which, the Callaway Z06 will feature a 6.2 liter V8 engine and a GenThree supercharger with 32% more displacement than the factory unit.
You’ll also find a new manifold design, a new intercooler and a high-flow air intake. Other upgrades include a carbon fiber engine cover, embroidered floor mats, anodized aluminum door sill panels and exterior and interior badging, plus an optional short-throw shifter, a sports exhaust system and a 5 year/100,000 Mile Powertrain Service Contract.
No word on the performance figures so far, but the upgrade will be priced from $16,995 – which means we’re probably looking at some serious extra muscle, so stay tuned.
