Pfff…Nürburgring tourist drivers; a big-winged Corvette that had pulled over on the grass at the German circuit received a rude wakeup call from a Renault Clio.
What appears to have happened is that, after going over the curb, the Corvette driver decided to slowly move around the inside of the corner until the coast was clear to re-enter the track.
He might have been better off if he had stayed put, as seconds later, another driver in a Renault Clio went off the track at speed and slipped on the grass crashing into the Vette.
According to the video uploader “Nordschleife96”, this happened during “Carfriday”:
“Carfriday is generally known as the unofficial season opener for the tourist drives at the Nürburgring, so every year there are thousands of spectators visiting the track to attend the tourist drives either as a spectator or driver. The enormous number of cars on track often leads to dangerous situations or to crashes like this one!”
