Come on guys, you can do better than this. At least put a little more effort into the press release so that it doesn’t sound so silly.
We will however give you props for styling – for both the VisionC concept which we loved, as well as this Skoda VisionSea motor yacht. Funny how VisionC and VisionSea sound exactly the same isn’t it?
Yes, there’s an entire “press release” that touches on Skoda entering a new business sector and this yacht being equipped with a hybrid drive (180 HP petrol unit + e-motor) good for 270 HP. Of course there’s also a 6-speed DSG transmission.
The VisionSea can allegedly sail up to 50 nautical miles on electric power alone, but can travel as far as 980 nautical miles while using both engines. You don’t say..
Even though Skoda says this yacht comes with an array of “Simply Clever” solutions, we’d rather stick to making fun of them. But if you’re curious as to what they’d consider as clever in terms of building a yacht, apparently it’s “foldable water-ski hooks, lifejacket holders and more”.
At least their prank wasn’t as bad as this one from VW.
