And it should, it really should, especially since the JE Design control unit will boost the V8 TDI’s power output from 340 HP to 410 HP and 930 Nm of torque (from the initial 800 Nm). That’s good enough to get you to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.4 seconds. About 0.4 seconds quicker than the stock model and the same as a Cayenne S Diesel.
Sure, it’s still far off the pace of the fastest diesel-powered SUV in the world, the Alpina XD3 Biturbo, but so is everything else. Plus, we’re talking different weight categories.
Overall, this isn’t just one of the fastest diesel-powered SUVs in the world, but also one of the fastest diesel-powered cars in the world, regardless of segment. And with so much pulling power (930 Nm / 685 lb-ft), this thing could tow just about anything.
