You surely remember we told you Jeremy Clarkson was going to reappear on the BBC, on April 24, on the “Have I Got News for You” show, where he would co-present. This seemed plausible at the time as it wasn’t the first instance when the ex-Top Gear presenter featured on the show; we were also hoping for some more clarification…

However, he’s apparently not going to make it; in the words of Jimmy Mulville, the managing director of Hat Trick Productions (an independent production company that works for the broadcasting company), “on reflection, Jeremy Clarkson has decided not to host Have I Got News For You. We fully expect him to resume his hosting duties later in the year.”

Apparently, Jeremy will still go on stage with his now former colleagues; he’s said to host a series of live shows along with Hammond and May – the series of gigs is billed “Clarkson, Hammond and May Live.” It sounds a bit like stand up comedy and it will have venues in Australia, Norway, South Africa and, naturally, the UK. It has no association to Top Gear whatsoever, though.
