Now McLaren seems to have shot itself in the foot a bit with the 570S, a car that despite being considerably cheaper than the 650S looks pretty much the same and is still properly fast.
Yes, it loses some performance on paper, but we bet the difference isn’t really that noticeable out on the road. And perhaps this is another aspect too, that it has been designed with regular road use in mind, as an everyday supercar.
It still does zero to sixty in 3.2 seconds, which is more than enough sprint capability for anybody, really, and the top speed of 204 mph or 327 km/h is also useless unless you live in Germany or have your very own Mulsanne straight in your back yard.
This 570S is easily the most attainable car ever to wear a McLaren badge; that’s not saying much, yes, but it is just so much cheaper than a 650S it does start to gain extra meaning, I think.
