Peugeot has just revealed a slightly unusual commercial vehicle concept, called Foodtruck – the name perfectly reflects its desired role as a mobile bistro that’s meant to fit into a larger theme of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” the guiding words for this year’s World Fair, Expo Milano.
The Italian venue kicks off May 1st and ends October 31, and it’s expected to attract a whopping 29 million visitors in that time.
The Peugeot Foodtruck is described in great detail in the press release, although it’s basically all just fluff. The basic idea behind it was “once parked, becomes a food truck unlike any other. Our goal is to appeal to all the senses—sight, taste, smell, hearing and touch—through the unique combination of modernity and harmony only Peugeot can offer,” according to Gilles Vidal, Peugeot Design Director.
One last thing: it may be a concept, a mere study of design, but it is fully functional as a food truck, and it will probably be used/displayed as such at the Milan expo.
