It’s hard to find things that are really wrong with the all-new Skoda Fabia, at least compared to its predecessor. It’s definitely better-looking, it offers more space, more versatility and more fuel-efficient engines.

These are some of the conclusions Carbuyer’s Ginny Buckley reached after driving the new Fabia. As for driving impressions, the reviewer says the new supermini continues to be comfortable yet not very exciting to drive. She recommends the 105PS (104hp) 1.4-liter TDI diesel as it offers the best balance between performance and fuel efficiency, although it can be noisy at low speeds.

Some of the Fabia’s letdowns include the excessive body leaning into the corners, the notchy gearbox and the steering’s lack of sporty feel. There’s also the interior, which is deemed slightly old-fashioned – plus, it features some nasty plastics. Scroll down to watch the complete video review.
