Everybody who’s driven a Subaru BRZ has felt the need for extra power in the car. However, it seems that Subaru doesn’t fully agree, and the first special version they released has absolutely no engine tweaks, aside from a modified intake.
The tS by STI as it’s known was first revealed for the Japanese market in 2013, but now it’s set to arrive in the US later this year.
According to Automobile Magazine, all the tweaks it’s received really only do more to bring out the car’s already excellent handling characteristics. You still miss the power, and we presume it’s harder to get the tail out with the extra grip and big wing on the back.
But then again why are people crying for an actual STI version? You can get any number of kits for the car that enhance its go, its looks and handling too, even if you don’t get the kudos of it actually being factory-tuned…
