Thanks to spy photos that surfaced late last year, BMW’s all-new 2016 7-Series is no longer a secret as far as the design is concerned. But until the automaker decides to fully unveil the car, we’ll be glad to show you any new photos that feature the new 7 Series undisguised.

This latest side view image uploaded on German website Bimmer Today was sent by a reader and it clearly shows that the new luxury sedan from BMW does not lack chrome – although the chrome strip running the entire length of the car may be exclusive to the Luxury Line trim level.

As you probably know if you are a frequent visitor to this website, the all-new BMW 7-Series features a Carbon Core body structure which helps to reduce weight by up to 130 kilograms (286 lbs) compared to the outgoing generation.

Combined with a new generation of engines including a six-cylinder in-line petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology mated to an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox, this results in a significantly more fuel-efficient car.

BMW says driving dynamics and ride quality have also improved thanks to a new two-axle air suspension with automatic self-leveling and Dynamic Damper Control offered as standard.

On the gadgets front, the iDrive operating system’s monitor features Touch Display and gesture control for the first time. The 2016 BMW 7-Series will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but official photos and more detailed information are likely to be released sooner.
