You can never have too many SUVs in the lineup nowadays, and Skoda with its solitary Yeti definitely needs more models.
It’s no secret that the Czech carmaker isn’t far away from bringing a larger, seven-seat SUV to market, which will reportedly be called Snowman. Test mules have already been spotted, with the new model expected to debut in 2016.
The mid-size crossover will be based on VW Group’s MQB architecture, just like VW’s upcoming mid-size crossover, and will be offered in five- and seven-seat configurations.
It should be available with a similar petrol and diesel engine lineup as the Octavia, but what’s completely unknown at the moment is the design.
Photoshoper X-Tomi thinks the Snowman will borrow a lot from the all-new Superb, and his rendering of Skoda’s upcoming SUV clearly shows it. If that happens, I don’t think many people will be bothered by it, on the contrary.
