With the exception of the Q7 SUV and R8 sports car that will continue in their current 2015MY shape until early next year, the rest of Audi’s lineup has moved on to the 2016MY.
The only new models are the 2016 A6 and A7 facelift that receive cosmetic, equipment and mechanical updates with pricing for these cars having been released in late April, and the third-generation TT that starts from $42,900.
For 2016, the A3 series continues in sedan and Cabriolet variants with Audi adding new standard features such as rearview camera and parking sensors, Alu-optic interior trim details, heated mirrors and washer nozzles, as well as optional offerings like the S Line Style Package, and the Black Optic Performance package for the S3.
The Audi A4’s base Premium trim gets a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, available Advanced Key and Audi connect as part of the Navigation plus package (also offered on the 2016 Allroad), a new Bang & Olufsen Sound System on the Technology package, new 19-inch wheels for the S Line Competition Plus Package and Misano Red pearl effect paint borrowed from the S4.
Moving on to the A5 Coupe and Cabriolet models, Audi has added the S Line exterior package as standard, with the new Bang & Olufsen Sound System now offered on Premium Plus models. An available Acoustic top for the A5 and S5 Convertible, a Black Optic plus package for the S5, and a new Misano Red pearl effect paint for the A5 and S5 Cabriolet, round out the changes.
Ingolstadt’s range-topping A8 sedan gets a new Sport edition for the 4.0T engine with exterior accents including different bumpers, side sills and a rear diffuser.
Finally, the 2016 Q5 SUV offers additional standard features including a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and Panoramic sunroof and available Audi connect as part of the Navigation Plus package. As with other Premium models, it too gains a Bang & Olufsen Sound System with the Technology package. Furthermore, the SQ5 has been upgraded to offer red brake calipers, available Jet Gray diamond-stitched seats and 20-inch 5-V-Spoke wheels with the Black Optics package, while the adaptive damping suspension is now available as a standalone option on Premium Plus models.
According to Audi, the new-generations of the Q7 SUV and R8 mid-engine coupe will go on sale in the States as 2016MYs in spring next year.
