Here are the very first photos of BMW’s new 30 CSL Hommage Concept that made its real-life debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este today.

We’re still waiting for BMW to shed some light on the study that was created as a tribute to the legendary E9 3.0 CSL nicknamed “Batmobile” from the 1970s.

Previously, the Bavarians said that the lime-yellow concept makes extensive use of carbon fiber and comes with an interior that features only the “absolutely essential” to keep the weight down.

I’m not going to lie – in these live photos from the event, the 3.0 CSL Hommage looks awkward and rather plastic-y from certain angles, and don’t get me started on that schnoz of a double kidney grille…
