If you’re in the market for a premium compact SUV, odds are that you won’t make a better deal than shaking hands on a 2015 BMW X3 F25.
It’s one of the best looking, well-balanced and comfortable cars in its class and you can really make it your own not just design-wise but also by opting for one of the 7 different engine configurations – though this may differ for you depending on the market.
You can even get it with rear wheel drive, but that’s just for entry-level versions. Still, it’s an excellent all-rounder that can be very satisfying to drive.
This particular X3 though is a little bit more special than what you’d normally walk out of the showroom with.
It’s on display at BMW Abu Dhabi and it features not just BMW M Performance parts, but also an Alpina front spoiler and AC Schnitzer alloys.
The engine of choice is the xDrive35i, which means you’re looking at 306PS and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of peak torque. Show it some clean asphalt and you’ll be doing 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.6 seconds, though some drivers might prefer the xDrive35d version and its 313PS , 630 Nm (464 lb-ft) engine.
Even if you might have more fun exploiting the petrol unit, the diesel will get you from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, while all that torque will have more real-world (traffic) applications.
