Get ready for the smallest coupe-styled crossover / SUV from BMW: the FWD-biased X2 that is believed to arrive in 2017 with seating for four and plenty of three-pot turbo engines.
Autocar says the model has already been given the go-ahead and that the first prototypes / mules are set to hit the road in a matter of weeks.
The source report predictably adds that the X2 will be previewed by a concept, but we can already picture it, as we know it will sit between the X1 and X2 and adopt the same kind of styling as the larger X4 and X6.
Such a model was imagined by Theophilus Chin sometime ago, but it’s as accurate as we can get to speculate what it looks like without seeing an actual prototype. We should see one very soon, though, courtesy of our spies.
