Looking for a fancy way into the “hypercar club”? Buying a P1 made by the McLaren Special Operations division (MSO) should help you make quite an entrance.
To be fair, so would any other car that’s currently at the pinnacle of automotive engineering, but this one right here, belonging to David Kyte, is a truly unique ride.
Naturally, a hypercar customer can opt to buy any one of several models out there, yet the McLaren P1 does seem to be the most…visually customizable of the lot.
Here are two more examples of some of the best MSO P1’s we’ve come across. There’s the Volcano Red one and the Hot Blue one which looks a lot like the one we’re writing about, minus the red pinstripes, rim walls and calipers.
The gloss black wheels are a nice touch, though dare we say that all that red makes it look a little less, serious? Either way, it is a stunning car, to the extent that it almost wouldn’t matter what color you got it in.
The interior is a mixture of Alcantara and carbon fiber components, with a blue center console that also features a few red elements.
As for the performance, well, it would be rather comical if a customer would actually worry about it not being quick enough. In fact, the only thing a hypercar customer should worry about is how drivable the car is in the city – something the P1 has proven to be extraordinarily good at based on the reviews.
