We’ve seen this countless of times; Superbikes and Supercars jump on each others throats on the track, trying to prove which one is the fastest.
This video is a little different, though. It involves a Nissan GT-R and a Ducati 848 EVO going at it, but it’s not happening on the track. Oh no, this smackdown between the two occurs on a mountain pass – on public roads – in Albania.
We all know a GT-R is blistering fast; a regular “tamed” pre-facelift version still has around 485BHP and hangs like a thistle through corners. The Ducati 848 EVO may only have 140 horses to play with, but it’s a motorcycle, which means it’s lighter than air.
Even on a closed and secured track it’s absolutely terrifying to race a supercar against a superbike, since both of these rides requires great skill to handle. Even so, racing on a circuit is one thing and racing on a public road, filled with twists and turns, is absolutely mental and dangerous.
The POV footage alone – from the Ducati – will probably make you gasp for air after seeing how the hunter (GT-R) becomes the hunted in the blink of an eye. We didn’t even notice the bad techno music.
Needless to say, we do not condone such behavior on public roads. What do you think?
