What you see here is the rear quarter of Fiat’s brand new compact sedan that has yet to be named, but will ultimately replace the Linea.
Fiat offered nothing new in the way of information about the four-door model that will be formally presented at the upcoming Istanbul Motor Show that takes place in in Turkey from May 21 to 31.
It was designed by the FCA Style Centre and jointly developed with Turkey’s Tofas, which will also produce the new sedan at its Bursa factory, with domestic sales to start in November before it rolls out in more than forty countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Italian model is likely based on Fiat’s ‘Small US Wide’ platform that also underpins the Fiat 500L and 500X, as well as the Jeep Renegade SUV, and will go head-to-head with Peugeot’s 301 and other budget sedans.
