PSC Motors has announced the upcoming SP-200 SIN hypercar. Hurray!
Wait; who’s behind and what is PSC Motors? PSC Motors is a car company, based in Las Vegas, that will manufacture, at some point, the SP-200 SIN.
Wait. What’s the SP-200 SIN? The SP-200 SIN is a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive car that will be powered by naturally aspirated 9.0-litre, V8 engine. Furthermore, with the help of an electric motor it will allegedly develop 1700-horses.
The electric motor mingles at the rear axle, while a dual-clutch 8-Speed gearbox makes sure power reaches the wheels.
Vanatical Design posted a picture of the car, announcing it as a collaboration with PSC Motors. According to the picture’s description, PSC Motors CEO – Antonio Calva – stated: “No one needs 1,000 horsepower so we gave it more… trust me your not going to want to miss this”.
According to Autocar magazine, Antonio Calva went on to say that the car will target Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche and Koenigsegg hypercars: “When this project was started five years ago, we wanted to do something new, something special that can pay tribute to some of the world’s fastest cars.
Nonetheless, with a claimed total weight of 1,400 Kg, the SP-200 SIN will be constructed using lightweight material, such as carbon fiber and aluminum. Combine that with a 9.0-litre engine and 1,700 horses and you have a 0 to 100 Km/h (62mph)4 in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of over 450 Km/h (279mph). Or so they say…
The car is set to be presented in June 2015, as stated by Jennarong M of Vanatical Design.
