Since we were already head over heels for Mansory’s 1,000 PS S63 AMG, they probably felt like they “just had” to do something to make us, and probably everyone else, question their choice in colors.
Even though it’s not technically yellow and black, the carbon fiber bits do give out that impression from a distance – and one could be forgiven for thinking they’re looking at a taxi if they’re nowhere near the car.
Still, somebody had to have wanted this car to have this particular look, otherwise we wouldn’t be looking at it.
Maybe we should forgive a poor choice of contrast, when we’re talking about a 1,000 PS limo, capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and go all the way up to 300 km/h (186 mph) with the limiter on. Take that thing off and there’s no telling how fast this will go.
Of course, if you want every drop of the 1,000 PS, you’ll have to go for the Mansory M1000 powerkit, and there is another one you might be tempted by.
The M800 powerkit comes with (you guessed it), 800 PS and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque, which will get you to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Still faster than what the stock S63 AMG can do.
When money is no issue, people tend to go out of their ways to make their products (in this case, their vehicles) stand out. Buying a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG is a great way to go about things. Taking it to Mansory for some after-market work is another excellent idea.
As for color preference, well, to each his own.
