The Mercedes-Benz B-Class has not been in the news as often as other members of the automaker’s compact front-wheel drive family, but that doesn’t mean it’s a car to avoid.

The premium compact MPV has received a discreet makeover last year bringing both styling and equipment upgrades, which is why Carbuyer’s Ginny Buckley took it for a drive.

As expected, the B-Class doesn’t disappoint when it comes to practicality and interior space, offering plenty of head room and leg room even for tall passengers.

Naturally, a comparison with its main rival, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer was impossible to avoid. While the B-Class is comfortable and easy to drive, the reviewer found it less engaging and fun than its Bavarian rival. However, that was to be expected and I don’t think the fun factor matters that much for customers of premium compact MPVs. Do you?
