The civil war of the German uber-fast estates has been reignited with the arrival of the new Mercedes C63 AMG, which goes against the Audi RS4 in this video.
Despite the fact that the current RS4 has been around since 2012, it still remains one of the most weatherproof and rapid ways to transport your family, courtesy of the permanent all-wheel drive Quattro and of course the naturally aspirated 444hp 4.2lt V8.
The latest C63 AMG has ditched the mighty 6.2lt V8 for a twin-turbo 4.0lt V8, which in turn is the same unit used by the AMG GT. In its more ‘basic’ form, the new engine produces 469hp and 478.6 lb-ft (649Nm) of torque which sends the C63 AMG from 0 to 62mph in just 4.2 seconds. And since it’s an AMG, power goes to the rear wheels only, which means two things: one, it will drift all day and two, it will have some grip issues when the road is not dry.
Auto Express took the two super-estates and raced them against the clock in order to find out which is the fastest mixed weather conditions.
Check out the video after the break to find out who won.
