Ford’s first upscale product, the Mondeo Vignale, has met automotive media during a press event in Rome. Until reviews start coming, we can check a new set of photos from the Italian capital.

Available to pre-order this month in four-door and wagon body styles, the Mondeo Vignale offers a premium specification that includes Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and high-power bi‑turbo 2.0-liter TDCi and hybrid powertrains.

Compared to regular Ford Mondeos, the Vignale model features exclusive details including an upper grille featuring unique Vignale hexagonal design in dark matt metallic finish and with a polished aluminum surround, a high-gloss lower grille with chrome bars, dual chrome exhausts with polished aluminum surround and matte-colored trim, as well as chrome door details.

The list continues with a high-gloss finish for the windshield pillar, door mirror base and for the central and rear window pillars, as well as dedicated 18-inch and optional 19-inch Vignale lustre nickel alloy wheels and the exclusive Vignale Nocciola body color.

The Mondeo Vignale will only be offered with the most powerful engines from the Mondeo family, including the 210PS 2.0-liter biturbo diesel and the 180PS 2.0-liter turbodiesel, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol offered with 203PS or 240PS, as well as the 187PS petrol-electric hybrid.
