The Ford Mustang has officially arrived in Europe and the first reviews are still landing across the Internet.

Autocar drives the manual V8 version, which after all, is the most desired model of the range right now, giving us a first insight of  Ford’s “global” muscle car. A 5.0-litre Mustang V8 will always be a fun car to drive but the most intriguing part of it in Europe will always be the comparison to similarly-priced cars.

As it is pointed in the video, the Mustang V8 will cost just under £33k in the UK, which means that its biggest rival in terms of similar philosophy will be the BMW 2-Series Coupe, not even the 4-Series which is more expensive.

The Mustang is already building a case for itself in Europe, and if you can deal with the big road tax that comes with the 299g/km CO2 figure, it suddenly looks like a steal compared to the other similarly-priced cars.
