I bet something like this has happened to you at some point – driving along and then all of a sudden coming across what seems to be the biggest hail you’d ever laid eyes on. Well, no matter how big the one you saw was, this one is bigger and much more destructive.
The video you see below was shot in Dubin, Texas by some storm chasers who got a bit more than they bargained for (smashed glass on their vehicles and probably more dents on the body than they can count).
The footage was shot on April 26, and the author calls it “Mega Hail” which judging by the amount of damage it apparently does, is not an understatement. He says it’s “grapefruit or softball” sized and in the video he tries to escape it and look for overhead shelter, but only finds some trees that obviously don’t do as much as a proper building…
