You can do better with, well, any other model in Ferrari’s range, but if you can’t escape the lure of the California T’s retractable hardtop, perhaps Novitec Rosso can help.
The German firm dropped a new tuning package for the revised and turbocharged California with both cosmetic and performance refinements starting with the engine bay where a new ECU gives an 85hp (86PS) and 101Nm (75 lb-ft) boost to 637hp (646PS) and 856Nm (631 lb-ft) respectively.
With this upgrade, the tuned two-seater sprints to 100 km/h (62mph) in 3.3 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than the stock model), while top speed jumps from 316km/h (196mph) to 323km/h (201mph).
There’s also a new exhaust system with actively controlled butterfly valve and sport springs for the suspension that lower the ride height by 35mm, as well as a hydraulic lift system that raises the front end by 40mm at the touch of a button to tackle parking entrance ramps and speed bumps.
For a more aggressive look, the Germans offer a carbon-fiber bodykit that includes a front apron, hood air intakes, side air outlets, mirror caps, rear diffuser, radiator grille, side skirts and a trunk spoiler, together with a clear-coated carbon-fiber roof skin for the folding hardtop and new alloy wheels (21-inches at the front, 22-inches at the back).
Novitec says it can also customize the California T’s interior.
