Nuevo is Spanish for new and it’s written on a sign hanging above a covered Seat Ibiza waiting to be unveiled on Thursday, May 7, the opening press day of the 2015 Barcelona Motor Show.
Last we heard, Seat said a brand new Ibiza based on a lighter platform won’t arrive in the market before 2016, but these things can change and the Spanish supermini has been on the market since 2008.
Whether this means the Barcelona car will be a model year update with minor revisions to make it a bit more competitive in the B-segment or an all-new model remains unknown at this point, but we’ll know in less than 24 hours from now.
