Renault continues the teasing operation of the Sandero RS budget hot-hatch, although very revealing photos of the car have been released by a Brazilian website last week.
The automaker has released two new videos in which a camouflaged Sandero RS is shown taking to the track in Brazil. The vehicle has made a first appearance at the Copa de las Marcas Petrobras, where Renault made its return with a Fluence driven by Brazilian Formula One legend Rubens Barrichello.
No official details were released about the Sandero RS, which will reportedly be available only in Latin American markets. While the Brazilian site FlatOut said the hot hatch will be powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter gasoline engine, the car in the videos sounds more like having a turbocharged unit under the hood. Either way, the Sandero RS will most likely run on ethanol as well, at least in Brazil where the alternative fuel is very popular.
