This is Rolls-Royce’s Wraith – Inspired by Fashion, a special edition model that pays homage to the world of Haute Couture.

Rolls-Royce says commissioning one of its cars is like commissioning a fine suit or elegant piece of couture, with the Wraith – Inspired by Fashion being the work of its craftsmen from the Bespoke Design Studio at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England. For this special vehicle, designers drew inspiration from color palettes, materials and techniques used in the world of high fashion.

The coupe features a two-tone exterior paint scheme combining Andalucian White and Arctic White, with accents in Jasmine, Tailored Purple or Mugello Red. The signature shoulder-line is emphasized by a hand-applied feature-line in the chosen highlight color, hinting at the color combination of the interior.

Inside, the Wraith – Inspired by Fashion features an Arctic White and Black interior color scheme. The accent color is found on the embroidered headrests, seat stitching and piping, as well as on the steering wheel, which features a two-tone composition. The steering wheel also features a seamless stitch applied by the craftspeople in the Leather Shop at the Home of Rolls-Royce.

Needless to say, the finest materials can be found inside, from fine silks, leather and wood – the lacquering process for Wraith – Inspired by Fashion alone takes nine days to complete. The interior also has a Bespoke Clock, styled exclusively to emit a pearl effect, reminiscent of silk fabrics.

The fashion theme is completed with the integration of welting, a specialist technique most commonly associated with Bespoke tailoring. Presented as a colorful silk strip, the welting frames Wraith’s signature leather door-panel.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith – Inspired by Fashion takes place later today at New York’s PRATT Institute as part of the PRATT Presents Women of Influence in the Business of Style.
