Whichever way you put it, Renault makes quite the stylish compact crossover in the form of its new Kadjar. It may be the same as the Nissan Qashqai underneath, but in terms of quality of styling, both inside and out, it’s said to be a cut above its Japanese brother.
It all flows nicely, from the rhombus badge outward and around the body, and it’s all one big uninterrupted swoop. The interior is also rather nice looking, with special note to the very chunky-looking steering wheel that looks like it would feel nice to hold.
I`m focusing on the design here because it will be the deciding factor for buyers looking at vehicles in this class. Why else would you choose the Kadjar over the Qashqai – even their names kind of sound alike.
If you`re into Renault’s new styling direction (I certainly am a fan and want to see what they’ll release in the next two years or so), then the Kadjar will win hands down when compared to the Nissan. It seems this is the angle adopted in the What Car? static preview, as well, and you can check that out by scrolling to after the virtual jump.
