These fresh spy shots of a Kia prototype landed on our desk as a possible international version of the Korean firm’s China market KX3 small SUV, but we’re not so sure about that.

It does have the appearance of a Kia model with a similar face to the Nissan Juke-sized KX3 and the license plates are typical of Hyundai-Kia testers in Germany.

However, it not only features different styling details (notice the front window frame), but it also seems to be fairly larger than the sub-compact KX3.

It’s definitely not a prototype for the apparently similar-sized 2016 Kia Sportage (see it here), so we’re leaning towards a milder crossover model in the compact category.
