The Audi S3 Sedan is not a very “talked about” car, generally speaking. It sort of lives in the shadows of both the S3 Hatch as well as the ever popular RS3.
Some people though really prefer a 4 door saloon body – the reason for that being nothing but personal preferences. It’s really that simple. A saloon will always look better than a 5-door hatchback and the same can be said about the A3/S3 Sedan.
The only “issue” one could have with it is its size, since it’s not exactly the most spacious car in the world. Nor the most practical.
But enough about the negatives. Let’s focus on what there is to like about it. First of all it’s the design language Audi used for the A3. The lines work really well with a sedan and it shows. Then you’ve got the muscle underneath the S3’s hood. It has a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that will put down 300 PS through all four wheels thanks to the Quattro all-wheel drive system.
It’s not as fast as say the Mercedes-benz CLA 45 AMG, but it’s not far off either. The CLA can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds, while the S3 Sedan will do it in 4.9 seconds. That’s pretty good right? It’s still a 4 second car, and that carries a lot of weight, figuratively speaking.
This particular S3 Sedan looks particularly flashy thanks to TAG Motorsports, who force fed it a set of custom Vossen CVT wheels – same model as the ones we saw here, and on this Lexus LS.
So what’s there not to love about this car? The color is splendid and the wheels are a perfect fit, both in style and in size, don’t you think?
