Meet one seriously beautiful hot hatchback and one seriously beautiful location. Oh and props for the custom wheels as well!
What we’re looking at here is one of the hottest hatchbacks in the world in the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. This car can get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds thanks to its 360 HP, 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) 2.0 liter turbocharged engine.
It may not sound like much, but trust me, that’s a lot of muscle for a car that weighs around 1,555 kg.
As you know, it’s rivaled by models such as the Audi RS3 and BMW M135i xDrive (others such as the Focus RS aren’t premium products) and it’s arguably the best looking of the bunch. Though if you remember our poll from last year, fans voted 58% in favor of the RS3 and just 31% would have preferred the A45 AMG.
Still, the Merc does look more spectacular, and the 0.3 second difference in sprint time isn’t something you’ll necessarily feel on a day to day basis if you were to drive both cars.
This particular model was shot wearing a set of 20″ Vossen VFS2 wheels, similar to those we saw last year on this Acura TLX, except those had a silver finish. Even so, the VFS2 series wheels are gorgeous – definitely some of the best custom work we’ve ever seen.
As for the location, well, there aren’t many places in the world more beautiful than the shores of Cape Town, South Africa. And we do enjoy admiring the background almost as much as the car, sometimes.
