Looking at the all-new Suzuki Vitara, one doesn’t immediately get an impression of premium, but graft on a posh-looking Range Rover face and some big alloys, and voila: a baby-Range for the people.
Obviously the work of a photo manipulator, this rendering represents the vehicle Range Rover would make to complete their bottom range, but it’d be one that they’d completely outsource to Suzuki which in turn will proceed to rebadge…
What do you think: would there be a need for a Range Rover vehicle to sit beneath the Evoque? That’s already quite small in its own right, but perhaps there’s room to go even smaller.
The choice of this Suzuki as the base is actually more meaningful than at first glance. The segment where the Vitara is positioned is only really occupied by mainstream not premium offerings; a baby Range Rover would really be a unique proposition, and if you think it’s far fetched, it was actually considered not that many years ago.
