No, your eyes do not deceive you, as this really is Taylor Swift plastered on the No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Teams Chevrolet driven by Tony Kanaan.

We called it guys! We so called this one during our Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix recap last week, remember? Here’s a direct quote from the ’10 Random Things We’ve Noticed’ part of the article:

“What do we have to do to get our own names on the sides of those Lotus cars? In the previous race, they had Mad Max written on the side pods (an awesome action-packed movie by the way!) and this weekend it was ‘Pharrell Willaims’. Really guys? Pharrell? What’s next, Taylor Swift?”

Yes indeed, Taylor Swift was next. Sure, it’s not the same Motorsport, but it’s darn close, right? Anyway, all jokes aside, Swift will hold a concert at Ford Field in downtown Detroit on May 30 and on top of that, Big Machine Records, official entertainment partner of Chip Ganassi Racing Teams, is also promoting Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour.

Furthermore, they’re also co-primary sponsors on the No.10 car driven by Tony Kanaan, who was quoted as saying “I’m hoping that some of Taylor’s luck we saw last weekend at the Billboard Music Awards will carry over with me into our doubleheader in Detroit.”

Since Kanaan crashed his car during the Indy 500 race, it’s not hard to envision him having much better luck in Detroit.

Oh and fair warning: Pressing play on that video might turn out to be very annoying if you’re not a Taylor Swift fan – and we’re not talking about her looks.
