Even though hybrid hypercars such as the McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder have taken a big bite out of the i8’s popularity, we think people shouldn’t overlook BMW‘s hybrid sports car.
Actually, some tend to debate whether or not the BMW i8 is a supercar or a sports car. You can argue that it has sports car-like power and speed but supercar-like acceleration and looks.
To be honest, we’re fine with people using both terms when it comes to the i8, but since when one thinks of the word “supercar” something like a 700HP Lamborghini Aventador will pop into your head, we’ll go with sports car as far as the i8 is concerned.
Though when it comes to looks, you’ll have a very easy time separating BMW‘s halo car from a Subaru BRZ. The i8 is stunning to look at, and we’ve seen some really great custom jobs recently such as this one, but we quite like it on white as well.
This particular BMW i8 is wearing a set of bright blue HRE RS102 wheels – you can find the same color on the kidney grille surrounds. Even though the wheels do stand out quite a lot, the car still seems like it has a sort of understated poise to it.
Do we like it more than the one wrapped by RDB LA? No, but this is still gorgeous to look at.
