While we’re patiently waiting for Alfa Romeo to pull the wraps off their new Giulia sports sedan in Turin this afternoon, the first official photos of the car hit the web.
In case you didn’t notice it, the leaks came from Czech website Auto Forum, which shared these images with us.
They show the top-dog in the new Giulia’s range, the Quadrifoglio Verde (QV), which is Alfa Romeo’s answer to the Audi RS4, BMW M3, Cadillac ATS-V and Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
If the reports turn out to be true, then the Giulia QV will join Mercedes and its C63 AMG S as the most powerful cars in their segment, as it is said that the Ferrari-derived 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that motivates it, has 510-ponies – that’s 46hp more than the ATS-V and 85hp more than the M3. We are also told that it will be offered exclusively with rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox.
Obviously, more to come, so stay tuned…
A big thanks to all of our tipsters!
