Apparently, German car manufacturer Artega will rise up from the dead at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, in September. Wait, were they gone?
It seems so, as the sports car manufacturer filed for bankruptcy in 2012. Now, Autovisie has discovered that the official website of the International Motor Show (IAA) has the car manufacturer listed as an exhibitor for the 2015 event, with a slightly different company name: Artega GmbH & Co. KG; and that means they’re probably making a comeback.
It’s unknown exactly what they will bring to the show, but we’re automatically thinking the Fisker designed, mid-engine GT, mainly because the official Artega website still is predominantly dedicated to the model.
In fact, they even offer some for sale, all in original spec with the 3.6-litre, 296 HP, V6 Volkswagen-sourced engine mated to a 6-speed DSG. Prices are between €57,500 and €68,000.
If you want to find out more about the rise and fall and rise again of the Artega marque straight from its creator, you can head over to the official website and read “The story behind the story” interview.
