Good news everyone (again)! If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Top Gear presenter, Chris Evans is looking for co-hosts.

According to BBC News, the newly-appointed Top Gear presenter stated on The One Show that anyone from around the world with “a real appetite for cars” can apply, whether they are “famous people” or not.

Male, female, young, old, cat, dog, it doesn’t matter; everybody gets to audition as long as they know something about cars, as Evans added: “You’ve got to know something about cars – you can be a mechanic, you can be an amateur racing driver, you can be a guy who’s a fireman but has been building his own Land Rover in his shed for five or 10 years… but you’ve got to know about cars.”

Furthermore, the Radio 2 DJ confirmed he would have a female co-star, chosen not “for the sake of it, but because of their passion for cars”.

Anyway, there’s more good news and this time for motorcycle enthusiasts. Evans tweeted that “there will be more motorbikes on the new Top Gear”.

We all know that Clarkson wasn’t a big fan of anything that had less than 4-wheels (Reliant Robin included) and that’s why motorcycles were almost never featured on the show. Sure, there was a “Top Gear Special” dedicated to bikes and Hammond raced one against a train and a Jaguar, but other than that, the motorcycle – as a vehicle – only made “cameo” appearances.

Nevertheless, Evans concluded his tweet with the question: “Do you think we should go to the TT?” Of course, he’s talking about the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race and here’s where things get a little interesting.

Last month, a rumor speculated that Guy Martin – a well-known motorcycle racer and a regular on the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy – was considered by the BBC to be one of the new hosts of Top Gear. Wait a minute, did Evans just gave us a hint? We’ll have to wait and see!
