Technically, we’ll have to wait until the 4th of July for the unveiling of the updated 2016 Fiat 500, but we just came across a rather revealing set of pictures.
A reader of Italy’s Alvolante, Federico di Siena, as well as one of our tipsters, Vitaly, snapped the facelifted models on a transport truck showing off their restyled ends.
On the business front, Fiat gave the 500 a 500X-inspired makeover with a fresh trio of lights that incorporate LED technology, while also redesigning the bumper and the grille, both of which are trimmed in chrome on this specific version.
At the party end, the Italian hatch gets a modern set of LED tail lamps, a reprofiled bumper with auxiliary lights, and a bigger chrome handle on the tailgate.
The car’s profile seems unchanged with the exception of the newly styled 15- and 16-inch wheels – at least according to a leaked document that also informed us about the availability of new colors, a revised dashboard that gains an infotainment system with a center console screen, and a different steering wheel.
