Apparently, FCA will privately display the Jeep Grand Wagoneer at the biennial dealer show in Las Vegas, in August.
According to Automotive News, the Fiat-Chrysler alliance promises a peek at what will be the most expensive and luxurious Jeep ever created. The automobile is set to launch in 2018 and will allegedly have a three-row seating format. Furthermore, it will be a thorn in the high-end SUV niche, envisioned as a Range Rover “killer”.
Of course, everybody expects a design study, a prototype, or a model and not a finished version of the car; In fact, it’s a little ridiculous to expect the vehicle in a “final form” 2-years prior to the official launch.
Due to the high demand of premium models, Chrysler desperately wants the Grand Wagoneer to take over the high-end spectrum of the market. That’s why, it is believed that the SUV will likely share some components with the upcoming Maserati Levante. If that turns out to be true, the Wagoneer might get some awesome Maserati engines to boast. We just hope it won’t have any wood accents on its body.
