Well, well, well, what do we have here?
No, really, what do we have here? It’s obvious there’s a black Ferrari sprinting around the famous Fiorano test-track in a manner some of you call “racing”, but we’re not exactly sure what we’re seeing. It may look like a 458 Italia, but it’s certainly not one.
The uploader states that he filmed a test mule of the Ferrari 488 GTB, wearing 458 clothing. The muffled sound of a supercharged engine, the side vents and the positioning of the exhaust are some giveaways of the true nature of the car. That being said, why is a disguised 488 GTB being tested after its official launch?
Could it be a “special” version of the 488 GTB and GTS? Shall we call it “Speciale”? Or maybe it was just a Ferrari tester blowing some steam with one of the older mules. Either way, we can hear the sound of the turbocharged V8 quite clear now and the muffled exhaust note isn’t what we’d expect from a prancing horse, even if it boasts hundreds of horses.
