After the sub-compact HR-V, Honda is preparing yet another SUV, named the BR-V for “Bold Runabout Vehicle”, which will target the Asian markets.
It will be revealed at the Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show 2015 this August as a thinly disguised concept model before it goes on sale sometime next year.
The BR-V is believed to be based on Honda’s 7-seater Mobilio sub-compact minivan, itself, an elongated version of the Brio hatchback that was developed exclusively for Asia. As such, the BR-V will likely offer seating for seven passengers in three rows of seats.
While Honda didn’t share many details about the car, it did say that power will come from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine providing “sporty performance” and “great fuel efficiency”.
