We really won’t judge Jaguar for thinking about a small SUV, since all of their rivals are already offering such a model. Here’s a rendering of what one could look like, courtesy of Theophilus Chin who created it based on various rumors and reports.
What he’s basically done here is condensed the design of the F-Pace into what looks like a Mazda CX-5-sized package. Some reports may have denied that such a model is being mulled, but Ian Callum is quoted as having previously said otherwise, while also denying a larger one is planned – go figure…
The fictional J-Pace, as it would come to be known, would allow Jaguar to compete with the likes of the Audi Q3 and Lexus NX. However, they first have to see how well their F-Pace gamble pays off, then they’ll look at adding another SUV.
