A Challenger 2 tank, as used by the British armed forces, weighs 62 tons, so it’s no wonder it literally flattened the front part of the Toyota Yaris you see in the photos. How did it happen?
Well, it was being driven by an 18 year-old learner from Lippe, Germany, and she pulled out in front of the oncoming tank and its driver was unable to stop in time. The tank was being driven by a 24 year-old British national stationed at the nearby Paderborn British Army Garrison.
Thankfully, the driver was unharmed, although the car is clearly totaled. Daily Mail says it would cost just arpound €10,000 to repair, but you could probably buy two same age Yaris hatches for that kind of money…
