Glen Foster is a Hollywood stunt driver know for his work in hit movies such as Iron Man 3, Quantum of Solace and the two ‘Dark Knight’ films.
He’s also grown quite fond of the Audi R8 as he got to drive both generations in various body and engine configurations. Of course when you’re performing stunts, you do more than just drive the cars, you have to master them.
His latest endeavor was on the set of Avengers – Age of Ultron as a stuntman for Robert Downey Jr (again). As he’s talking about the new R8 V10 Plus, Glen seems genuinely impressed with the car, saying it’s the fastest he’s ever driven.
And no wonder! At 610 PS, with a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and with a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time of just 3.2 seconds, the R8 V10 Plus is one seriously quick automobile.
He also talks about being able to take the car right on the edge of what it can do, without it feeling like it’s going to cause him to lose control. Saying that the new model feels “remarkably different to the old version” does indeed mirror what Audi themselves have said about the car in the press release only a few months ago.
Anyway, looking at the video description, it states that this interview took place on the set of his “latest film”, right after mentioning that he lately appeared in Avengers – Age of Ultron.
This should mean that right now he’s filming a new (undisclosed) movie, in which there might be an Audi R8 chase scene. And no, there wasn’t one in the Avengers.
If one might speculate, we could be forgiven for thinking that this is the set of Captain America – Civil War, where Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are going to duke it out.
