Nissan is previewing a sportier-looking Maxima SR Midnight ahead of an official reveal this weekend at the BET Experience in Los Angeles.
We only have one photo for now but it’s enough to make us want to see more of it. The SR Midnight features a selection of factory and dealer-installed accessories, including a Super Black exterior paint, rear spoiler, black 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and Charcoal premium leather-appointed interior with Alcantara inserts.
Already available to order at Nissan dealers across the United States, the Nissan Maxima SR Midnight also features rocker panel moldings, a rear bumper diffuser and splash guards – not a big fan of those, but at least they’re not big. The car will debut this week during the BET Experience in Los Angeles, a four-day event for which Nissan is the official automotive sponsor.
Based on the 2016 Nissan Maxima SR, the Midnight version features the same 300hp 3.5-liter V6 engine under the hood, mated to an Xtronic transmission. It also includes Maxima SR features such as a sport-tuned suspension, Integrated Dynamics-control Module (IDM), a front chassis performance damper, LED low beam headlights, 19-inch diamond-cut machined aluminum-alloy wheels and 245/40R19 all-season tires.
Inside, it features Ascot leather seats with diamond-quilted Alcantara inserts, climate-controlled front seats, Ascot leather steering wheel with Alcantara insert, paddle shifters, aluminum sport pedals and Liquid Chrome faceted finishers.
