Admit it, the kid in you still wants model cars just for the sake of it. Well, here’s your chance to buy what Porsche calls a “model car”.

This 919 Hybrid Le Mans replica is a 1:1 scale model that Porsche Asia Pacific auctions for charity. 1:1 means that it’s an exact copy of the real deal with the same dimensions and everything.

Well, not quite everything, since the car doesn’t have an interior, or an engine… or brakes, for that matter. Anyway, like I said, it’s not a car, it’s a model. In fact, it’s a conversation starter – the kind of thing you put on display for everybody to stare at when they enter the room.

Porsche states that to coincide with this year’s Le Mans race, the car will be up for auction until 14th of June, so there is plenty of time to get your hands on this limited edition 1:1 full-sized replica. Wait, what? Are there more 1:1 scale replica 919 Hybrids in the world?

Apparently, this example is known to be the only 1 of 13 Porsche 919 1:1 models to be privately owned. According to the seller,” these rolling chassis are rarely allowed to leave the factory, yet alone be available for sale”. And guess what? The model also includes the original signatures of the six Porsche drivers that participated in 2014 at Le Mans – Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley, Mark Webber, Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb.

Furthermore, the winning bidder is eligible for free shipping (the “car” weighs 500KG/1102Lbs), a free Singapore Trip and a 2 night stay at a 5 star hotel. You can find out more details by going to the official bidding page.

As of now, the highest bid is $7,670.
