Time always passes slower for commercial vans and their passenger iterations, as automakers don’t feel as pressured for frequent overhauls as in other vehicle categories.
Hyundai’s first generation H1, also known as the H200, Libero and Satellite, lasted for 10 years, from 1997 to 2007, when the second generation of the van was introduced and which has since been marketed under many different monikers, including iMax, i800, H300, H-1, Grand Starex, iLoad and probably a few other names that escape us.
This fresh batch of spy shots showing a camouflaged prototype of the people-carrier version of the van suggest that the Korean carmaker is working on a facelift for the series, which will include Hyundai’s corporate front grille, reprofiled bumpers and new lights on both ends.
Hyundai may also upgrade the engine line-up and make some improvements to the interior.
