You know how we sometimes complain about how unfair it is to pit a tuned car against one that is 100% stock? Well, when they’re all “packing heat”, that becomes a non-issue.
With 431 PS, the stock BMW M4 is one seriously fast car. At its absolute best, it can bust through the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark in just 4.1 seconds. Believe it or not, that’s slower than what the heavier but more powerful Audi RS7 is capable of.
The RS7 hits the mark in 3.9 seconds thanks to its 560 PS 4.0 liter V8 engine – which means that very little rubber gets lost when this all-wheel driven car takes off.
As for the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, just make sure not to “sleep” on it. It packs a massive 6.2 liter V8 unit, capable of putting down 457 PS and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of peak torque.
So with all things equal, on paper, the RS7 should take this one, right? No, because here’s the catch. All of these care are tuned out of their minds. Well, at least the Merc and the Audi are.
For instance, let’s look at this BMW M4. It has a Custom Stage 2 tune, good for 550 HP. Add the ultra fast gear changes and the lightweight construction and you’re not beating it easily. However, both the Audi RS7 and the C63 AMG Merc have 700 HP under their hoods, which should, in theory give them a clear upper hand over the Bimmer, right?
